Kim Klingaman (South Korea) was the first person to accept the hometown challenge!

"This article would help anyone who grew up in Southern California to find an Olympic athlete.  


Turns out I went to high school with this guy. I will have to check yearbooks but I don't think we were the same grade. There is a chance I know his sister.

Event: Indoor volleyball (outside hitter)
Hometown: Yorba Linda
High school: Esperanza High
College: UC Irvine
Bio: Jablonsky, who was an alternate for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team, helped the U.S. win gold at the 2016 FIVB World Cup. While at UC Irvine he was named 2006 AVCA and MPSF Player of the Year in 2006 and helped the Anteaters win the 2007 NCAA National Championship. He also was a member Esperanza's 2002 Div. I CIF Championship team."
